Northeast Florida Wedding Venue | Brandon & Jennifer's Linwood House Wedding

Charming, Southern Jacksonville Wedding Venue_1232.jpg

Jennifer and Brandon's wedding was southern elegance at it's finest! The couple selected The Linwood for their outdoor ceremony and reception -it was a great choice for them!

Jennifer got ready in the house, while Brandon used the cottage.  Each took time before the ceremony to be with their wedding party members and soak up the pre-wedding excitement. There were no nervous jitters, just anticipation, and joy.

Jennifer looked so beautiful in her sweet floral crown and beaded gown. The illusion back was incredible! She was a vision walking down the aisle to Brandon- and he was shocked (and joyful) when he saw her.

For the tented, outdoor reception, the couple selected a natural color palette of greenery and creamy white. They paired their table decor with gold chiavari chairs and an ample black and white checkered dance floor. Everything tied together so beautifully!  The gold calligraphy touches on the signage and cake were our favorite little details.

Brandon & Jennifer did such a great job creating a glamorous, elegant event, while still being true to a laid-back southern vibe.It was a wonderful day for a wonderful couple and we feel so very blessed to have hosted them.

Northeast Florida Wedding Venue | The Mathis House, Emily & Justin's Wedding

Newlyweds at Outdoor Wedding Venue in Jacksonville

Emily & Justin, who wed at the Mathis House, wanted a laid-back, carefree, family focused wedding that celebrated the good things in life. Lots of laughter, great food and the company of those who love us.

This couple is so in love and were positively giddy about their nuptials and marriage. They planned the wedding as a team and had lots of fun DIY touches.

They held their ceremony beneath the pines on the Mathis house grounds. They followed their vows with a tented reception on the back lawn.

We loved the board games during the reception, the food trucks (SO much fun) and Emily's beautiful vintage inspired lace and tulle wedding dress.

Everyone was so joyful all day long. It was a beautiful wedding with an even more beautiful couple! We were honored to help them celebrate their love and can't wait to hear where life takes them!

North Florida Historic Wedding Venue | Mathis House, Chris and Nikki

Chris and Nikki hosted a simple, beautiful, DIY wedding. They focused on the impact of their pending nuptials and lived in the moment, without the worry or stress that we sometimes see when planning more elaborate affairs. They selected The Mathis House for their outdoor ceremony and reception.

The weather was gorgeous! April weddings are almost always the best Spring month to get married in Florida. The sun was shining, the breeze blew softly and the temperature was a dream.

Kelly, the photography, is Nikki's best friend. Which, we think, you can really see in the photographs. There is something so personal about the images. Especially the first look- which was incredibly touching!

We loved Nikki's bohemian, casual wedding dress! It had exquisite lace detail and fit her so beautifully. Her bridesmaids also wore white, which was quite a vision (and actually very traditional).

Nikki and Chris were very laid back and enjoyed every moment of the day.

North Florida Wedding Venue | The Mathis House, Jami and Daniel

Jami and Daniel are such a wonderful, down to earth couple! Their wedding day was overflowing with the neatest DIY details. From Jami's paper flower bouquet to the Harry Potter magic wands, it was all about including fun and unique intricacies that would make the ceremony and reception memorable for them and their guests!

They opted for a first look in front of The Mathis house. As Jami made her way to Daniel, you could almost feel the excitement of the moment! It was wonderful for them to have a moment to calm their nervous jitters.

Since we happen to be a pet friendly venue- the couple was able to include their fur-babies in the wedding festivities. One of our favorite images of the day is Jami and Daniel with their dogs.

Jami and Daniel's outdoor spring wedding was hosted at The Mathis House. The couple selected the gazebo for their ceremony, which is one of two of our ceremony sites at The Mathis. Following the ceremony, the hosted their guests outdoors behind the house, with buffet and dancing on the porch.

It was a pleasure and blessing to be Jami + Daniel's wedding venue. But truth be told, we felt more like family when it was all said and done! Wishing these two many happy years ahead!
